I have been getting constant E1 codes on my Whirlpool GEW9200LW1 dryer. I have verified the vent is clear. I checked the thermister and ohms look good. The only way the dryer will run is in the timed cycle at low heat. At medium and high heat settings the dryer will shut down after 5 min. Same situation in automatic cycle. I noticed that the dryer is extreamly hot inside after it shuts down.

What else could cause the E1 code? Any help would be appreciated.
