Have a shower stall that's only 6 years old in my retirement condo. Stall is nice other than one problem. The step in lip that supposed to keep the water from getting out on the floor is very shallow (maybe 1/2" high). I have made sure my shower curtain touches the floor of the stall, and I always make sure it's inside the stall lip, but water always keeps getting out in one amount or another, making part of my shower routine cleaning up puddles. I was wondering if they made some kind of add on lip at Home Depot or Lowe's etc. That can be placed right over the existing lip with some kind of sealer (silicon etc.)that would add some height.

They are placed low on such condos so that the wheelchairs can go over them. Is it a tile or fiberglass/acrylic shower?

It's a formed one piece fiberglass shower.

Depending on how high you can step, HD has a corner guard shield that can be used to create a water shield.

I have no health restrictions, and stepping into a bathtub would be no problem. I'm in a retirement community cause I'm 60 and the community is only a few buildings in a small town in the N.W. Corner of Ct. in the foothills of the Berkshire mountains, and the 2 bedroom units are the size of a 2 bedroom house and are only 6 years old, very well kept, and the rent is very reasonable. I'm a retired full time stretched limo chauffeur of 33 years that couldn't pass the physical anymore, because my diabetes became insulin dependent several years ago, and it doesn't allow me to pass the physical needed every 4 years to keep my chauffeur license. I'm what's called a well kept diabetic and still do everything I ever did, so I have no restrictions health wise. I just want to add something to the height of the stall to keep water from exiting it, even though I do everything to try to keep it out. It only needs maybe another 1/2 inch or more to stop the migrating water from going over the very low edge of the fiberglass formed stall.

Good for you... check the item I mentioned out, I looked at them today there are 2 types. 1 Attaches with double sided tape, the other can use silicone/caulking. Look at them on line.
