My oldest daughter is very verbally abusive as well as emotionally abusive to me. She is 24 years old and she lives with us along with her 3 year old daughter. We've asked her to help with monthly expenses around the house, such as light bill, groceries, cable/internet, and she refuses. I pick her daughter up everyday from daycare and keep her until she is home from her job. She makes good money where she works and makes no effort to help. She also likes to go out and do her own thing and that is fine once in a while, but I feel like I am being taken advantage of and she doesn't care. When I say NO to her she becomes another person. I am already seeing signs of this nature in her daughter. What should I do without losing them? My grand-daughter is my world and I would hate to see them leave, but I am tired of the belittling and cursing and putting me down.

I have. She thinks I'm wrong. Trust me she doesn't mind telling me that I'm stupid and to grow up. I am almost to the point where I am going to have to ask her to leave my home. I don't want to do that because of my grand-daughter.

Then you either haven't set or don't enforce appropriate boundaries. You set boundaries and she says you're stupid? Then something isn't being made clear to her.

Is there a possibility you can kick her out and get guardianship of your grandchild?

Where is the father in this scenario?
