Is Eye Pigmentation on a puppy permanent
I have a 8 weeks old Jack Russel puppy with pigmentation in both eyes. I took him to the vet and he said that its uncommon for a puppy to have pigmentation at such extend. Is it going to get worse and will lead to blindness? Vet said that he is blind in right eye but at times I`m sure that he could see with the right eye. Is there anything I can do or could you recommend some kind of treatment that I could suggest to my vet. Is there any explanation for this pigmentation - a nutritional deficiency maybe?

Blindness is a fluke of genetics. Some where along the lines, blindness is a trait. Unfortunately, you're pup got it.

As far as I know, there is no cure for blindness..

Specific types of training will be your best friend. He may not be completely blind now, but eventually he might be. Starting him on commands for blind dogs will benefit you greatly.
