I need advise on what to do in my situation... my boyfriend is in jail because of me I got into a argument with him cause he was seeing his ex-girlfriend he was drunk so I slapped him in the face... he held me down by my wrist & arms I had bruises on my arms. I moved out therm he kept calling so I got into another argument in the phone I waited two days then made a police report but I didn't tell the whole truth I did it all out of anger and jealousy but I didn't think it would get so serious now he's in okc county jail for domestic abuse with strangulation and assault &.battery with a dangerous weapon... what should I do he shouldn't be in jail... I want to drop charges . Will I get in trouble? I need some advise please!

OMG! Girl even if you try to drop the charges the state will pick them up.. Been there done that.. Im so sorry but he'll have to do jail time if not pen time.

As a person of the wrongly accused, I seriously urge you to tell the truth, maybe even more than once, to anyone who will listen, that can help him. I know you were angry... But that is not fair to remain silent while somebody spends time they shouldn't. Jail is horrible, been there a lot. And I know you are scared to get into trouble, but you won't be in near as much trouble, or spend time, like he is going to, if you don't do something about it. You do know that if he does end up leaving county to prison, you may never be able to help him. So do the right thing and fast. Who knows... If you don't do the right thing, and goes to the penitentiary with a strangulation and domestic against a woman... He could be attacked by other inmates... People down there don't take kindly to men who beat women and children. Do the right thing girl.

How does simply holding you down become strangulation? And what was the dangerous weapon?
