    Sewage smell in one bathroom?
WE have a sewage smell in only one of our bathrooms. Cannot really pinpoint where exactly it is coming from. Tried bleach down all the drains, still smells. We have a septic system. Any other ideas? Seems to be getting worse now.

Do you hear or see any bubbles coming from the toilet bowl? Any leakage around the base of the bowl? Does this smell happen all the time or just when you flush or drain something? Back to you, Tom

No bubbles from toilet bowl. Doesn't seem to have any leaks. Smell is all the time. Tried bleach, no avail.

Could be the wax ring. Lightly pack some toilet paper around the base of the toilet where it contacts the floor. Small go away? If so, replace the wax ring. If not, is the roof vent near the bath window? Sometimes a downwind, particularly as the air cools down, gets pulled into the bath window if it is open or has an air leak.
