What is this symbol called "\"
Backslash
I think this backslash was this "/"... I want to know the name of this "\".
No this: /, is the slash or forward slash. This: \, is the backslash.
For some reason it really bugs me when I hear someone say, "Oh just go to H-T-T-P, colon, backslash, backslash..." I've even heard it stated that way on radio ads. (I have to spread rep, otherwise I would give you a greenie, haha).
OP: ScottGem is correct. I hate using Wikipedia as a citation, but it's just so darn easy: Backslash - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
