I like plain Coke better than pepsi, but I like diet Pepsi better than diet Coke.

I also think RC is better than both :)

Once you add the rum... all is good!

I don't find one to be better than the other. They are quite different, and can be equally good, depending on what you are consuming them with. Pepsi is very sweet; Coke is dry and spicy.

The Mexican and kosher varieties of Coke are made with real sugar (instead of high fructose corn syrup); give them a try if you can find them. Some Mexican restaurants carry Mexican Coke, and many supermarkets carry kosher Coke around Passover season.
