Will a verbal agreement stand in small claims court?
My in-home daycare provider said she is taking me to small claims court for care she says I owe her for. We had a verbal agreement beginning in August that she would watch my son Tuesday and Thursday for free if I came to her house and watched her 7 daycare kids Monday, Wednesday and Friday for an hour a day. The situation turned into 3 hours a day and I told her it wansn't going to work out and I found a new provider. She claims I owe her for 13 full days of care and before I could respond to her message, she sent me multiple messages harassing me. Will she get anywhere with the court system?

If you can prove that she abused the agreement and that you pulled your child out with having held up your end, she is probably just blowing smoke.

She is asking the court to order you to provide so many hours of work? Small claims doesn't work that way. If she can prove how much money you owe her, that's one thing, but a small claims court cannot order you to do work for her.
