So I met this guy online. We emailed back and forth several times, had good conversations and chemistry. We met in person, it went very well, and we were mutually attracted to each other. I heard from him a couple of weeks later; we go out again and it was amazing. We had a great time and shared an awesome kiss. We both agreed we wanted to go out again; he hoped to do it later that week. But I didn't hear from him! He lives an hour away and is in my area somewhat sporadically. Is this the slow pace he's trying to set? Should I back off and let him be in charge of the communication, or should I try to keep in contact with him?

It's early days, so if I were you I'd just send him a text conveying your interest in a third date. Then the ball is in his court, just wait for his reply and keep busy so you don't feel like contacting him again if he doesn't reply immediately.

I would just send him a text and ask him what's up and just wanted to touch bases to see how your doing... something informal, but not really pushy. He might just respond with something like, Oh sorry I've been busy because things have come up. Or if he doesn't respond, I wouldn't call or text again, the ball is in his court at that point
