Is this a remote control or chain pull fan? If you have power at the ceiling box, you either have a mis or non-connected wire, the fan is turned off or remote is not working. How many wires in the ceiling box and how are they connected?

It is a chain pull fan. There is a black wire & a white wire in the ceiling box. Connected the black & blue wires to the black from ceiling, white to white, & bare to green. There is power coming out at the pluthat you plug into int the light kitwhere the pull chains are.

Some fans won't work unless the light assembly fixture is connected since the pull chains are in that part. Some Hunter fans work that way. Look at the alignment arrows, colors and letters. Make sure they are properly aligned or nothing will work. If everything is connected properly, it should work. If not take it back. I probably install 20 fans a year and have never had a bad one from the store.
