    Water main
Thought I already asked this question, but here goes. Could anyone share why the city where I reside has to keep replacing water main? House built in 2004 and it is almost at the end of a dead end street. They keep telling me this just happens and at it keeps my pipes from having a problem. City is very prompt in coming out and it is never at any cost to me.

Cat, I was the one who answered your question about your kitchen faucet. No question about a water main.

As a rule water mains are replaced because they're old and are too costly to maintain. Was that your only question? Regards, Tom
