A Christian church will not marry a couple who are legally married already, even if it had been done in a city hall. But some clergy will agree to do a 'blessing' that looks like a wedding.

In many countries, there are differences between state service and a religious service.

For example, in the UK, not all denominations can do weddings, they can only do a blessing after it is done by the civil government. I know my old denomination was not approved by their government. It works similar in Canada, but it is easier to get registered in Canada.

So without knowing the laws of your country, only the minister of the christian church can tell you what they do

As you both are already married then this will be mere formality as per law and will not affect your registered marriage. In fact whenever you have to prove legally your registered marriage certificate is required but nothing more than that. Your registered marriage will be considered as your marriage as per law but not later marriages whatever
