Green mucus coming out of dogs eye?
About two days ago I washed my 6 month old poodle. She has this green/yellow mucous in her eyes. It got so bad that her eye lids were sticking together because she didn't want to open them. I know about cataracts and the signs, I don't know if she's a diabetic or not but she can see and she's still running around as normal. The mucous is just still in her eyes. I just clean some out and her eyes are bloodshot red. I was wondering is there any medicine I could give her, if so should I use visine? I haven't tried anything yet I just have been flushing her eyes with water but even though she can see it looks like it's getting worse. Please HELP!

No, you can use visine, water is fine, but you should seek vet's advise if her conditon is getting worse. Has she been around any chemicals in your house? What has she been near to get in this condition? How old is your dog?

I'm for a trip to the vet as well. She could have what is called 'dry eye', which is an insufficient amount of tear production. The redness of her eyes is proof of the irritation she has. Have the vet examine her.
