Reasons for a non-custodial parent on changing a child's last name in nj?
What would be reasons a non-custodial parent would be granted the ability to change a minor child's last name in New Jersey when both parents were never married?

I can' think of any that wouldn't require the consent of the custodial parent, just as the custodial parent would require your consent.

A name change requires a court order. To agree to a name change the court will require the consent of both parties.
