    Do I have a conviction
    Hello
    I had abnout 3 years go found with a baton stick that I had found and was sent to jail that same day I was arrested I was released with bail and had to appear to court every single time then finally I had to see the judgeand I declared myself innocent and that same day the district attorney agreed to dismiss my case doi have any convictioncan I still apply for a governmental job what doi respond when asked if convicted with any crime

    Where you convicted ? Did the judge say guilty or did you plead guilty. Those are the only two ways you are guilty.

    So if the DA actually dismissed the case, not a plea bargain of some sort, then you say you were not convicted.

    If they ask if you were ever arrested you say yes

    I was not pleaded guilty or convicted at all I declared myself innocent and I was just told the DA agreed to dismiss your case and that was it I just left the court room

    First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion so I've moved your question to its own thread.

    If the DA dismissed the case, then there is no conviction.

    No conviction means no criminal record. If the charges were dismissed then you only have an arrest record which is something entirely different.
