What happens to me after 2 years of marriage and he wants a divorce?
He wooed me, supported me, I took care of his every need... except financial. I kept asking if he wanted me to get a better job (I tutor a few kids). He said no, he wanted me to take care of him.

Now suddenly I'm not "wife" material. He's says he expected me to get a job making six figures with a 401K plan to match. WTH?

I asked him when he was going to tell me this... when he was going to give me a chance to try and live up to these expectations... He kind of smirked and said, "I guess never."

Now he's threatening to give 30 days notice at our place and keeps saying, "If I leave right now, where are YOU going to go? You'd better get to work fast!"

I'm a wreck! I'm mourning the loss of my husband and can't even see straight. I can't deal with feeling like there is quick sand under my feet with my whole world spinning in circles!

What are my rights as a soon to be ex-wife with no money? Now I'm suddenly in a mentally abusive relationship as well!

He can't just give you 30 days notice to move or get a court order to get you to move.

He is now showing you his true self. Face it, he pulled a real fast one on you and you've been had big time.

Best to consult with an attorney now to see just what you can do to keep what is yours. Does he make a high dollar salary? Your attorney can be the best person to guide you through this scenerio financially and come out ahead of the game during the divorce which looms ahead.

What has he been doing lately like staying out late at night, etc? Maybe he has your replacement lined up already and wants you out now so she can move in.

msjeenee, I moved your question to the Law boards where you should be able to get the best advice for your situation.

If you could supply our Law Experts with the state (or country if you are outside the US), it would let them know what resources are available to you.

    Thank you.

He just gave me 45 days to move out!

We live in California... Alameda County, if that helps. He was pressuring me to come up with a number of how much I want to get out of the marriage! What am I owed under the law if he makes over $100,000K a year and I make a few thousand? He's been paying everything of mine except for my student loan and a few little credit cards under $300.

We don't own cars or a house together... just a puppy and a wine collection.

I'm sure there is more to this... I just can't think!

    Please help!

    Probably a lot.

Take twinkiedooter's advice an consult with an attorney. NOW!

And he can't just kick you out of the house like he is saying.
