I am applying for a dependent visa. I don't have any savings bank account instead I have many fixed deposites(F D). Can I show these F D as funds

I am applying a dependent visa for united kingdom.my husband is staying there. I would like to join him but I have a doubt that whether I can show my funds as fixed deposit form. Please help me regarding this
