    Pipes vibrating in house?
"Hi-recently after the earthquake here on the east coast I hear vibrating sounds coming from in the walls of my house. I thought it was my old fridge but I had that unplugged. I can't pin-point where the sound is coming from but its very scary to me because I think we are having another earthquake. Thanks and please help.

Is there any one faucet or appliance that will cause the sound when the appliance is used? If all water usage causes the sound then I'd check out your main shut off supplying the home. Put your hand on that valve when you hear the noise, do you feel any vibration? Do you have a pressure reducing valve in the home?

Bob's asking pertinent questions, Answer him. Does the noise go on all the time or just when a faucet is opened or a appliance used? Describe the noise. A thumping? A ticking? Other? Is it loud or soft. More details please. Tom
