My TV comes off and on by it's self, I have a son that wakes up frequently with scratches on his chest and back. At our old house I was awakened in the middle of the night, by something holding me down and like a whispered shouting of my name in my face.My door bell used to irritate me because it caused our dog to bark. One day someone rang it and it fell off the wall. A week before we moved the attacks irritations w/ my son increased, 3 nights he felt he was being held down and shouted at. The wild thing about it is I had never told him until then about my experiences there. Now we have moved and after 2 months the scratches have started again, my TV turns on and switches channels and stops on a snowy channel every time in the 60's. 61 62 63 64, What is the possibility that this entity has moved with us? Any help would be appreciated

Rob, let's not fool ourselves... it's very realistic that entities stick around with people/families. To think they only like to live in homes would be ignorant... the thing they want the most is manifestation in and through people's lives. How old is your son? Are there any other family members in the home experiencing things? May I ask the spiritual/religious background of yourself and your family? How long have these things been going on?

My son is now 18, my girlfriend, my son and me are the only ones so far. An old neighbor always felt an eerie feeling inside of our old house, but nothing here. I've been dealing with this for about 7 years. This has only started w/ my son about 2 and a half or 3 years. This place had been quiet until a few weeks ago then the scratches started again and now the TV thing. Tonight has been quiet no TV turning on or channels changing. I was raised methodist and my son was raised catholic. I am an atheist now and my son is pretty much the same.

After I responded to your questions this morning the TV came on, when I got up to check on a noise that sounded like a car door shutting {when I realized the TV was on} I felt a very cold rush of air hit me like a breeze. I have no upstairs windows open. An old friend came over this morning w/ her daughter and asked me if I could turn on the TV to entertain her 4 year old. The TV came on again and started its channel surfing, she asked me why I didn't put it on the cartoon channel. At that point I explained to her that the remote was upstairs, that I was not doing the channel changing. We are going to try and video tape or use an audio recorder to try and get something more, to prove that we are not losing our minds. This is the first time it has turned on the TV in our presence, it has done the channel surfing thing before but not turning it on.

The video and audio recording is an excellent idea.

Is the TV the same one you had at the other place?

98% of the time natural explanations can be found .
But where the same things occur at a different location lowers that percentage to "too low not to act" .

Please update as often as things happen at least and anytime you feel the need to talk to people who believe you and will do all they can to help.

I know HH and myself have experienced the paranormal and know the stresses and problems dealing with it can cause.
Others here have also but HH and I are not shy about our beliefs and used to the ridicule it surely can draw, (which has never happened on this site I will add)

When are the things happening with the TV? Is it mornings or evenings after the sun goes down?

The TV usually turns on and starts the channel surfing in the early morning hours, between midnight and 6 am. It has only turned on in the day time twice today and a couple weeks ago. The channel surfing can start at anytime. It is the same TV as the old place. I also talked to one of my neighbors last night and explained this to him at that time he told me that the guy who used to live there had the same kind of story[regarding the tv]. The issue w/ the TV did not happen at the other place although the TV in my bedroom had similar issues. Turn it on and it would turn off in about 5 minutes. At this house no such problems. I had this TV serviced because of purchasing the service plan w/ it. The tech could find nothing wrong but had me bring it to the store they plugged it in and worked fine. The really gonzo crazy stuff like this and the holding down of my son etc really started after my wife and I separated.

Thanks for the info Rob. While I do believe in the phenomena that you are experiencing, and I want you to rest assured you're not crazy, it always can help to catch this stuff on video or audio... I just warn against very actively trying to find these spirits as I believe it can open up a new gateway for them. Try and document it... but don't SEEK it out, if that makes any sense. If it was just a problem with your TV I'd suggest some natural explanations... but combined with your sons experiences as well as the previous owner, it sounds very plausible to me that you are dealing with a spirit. Sounds like this was a problem before you came along in the home... but you never know what can really trigger these things. Divorce and turmoil can certainly be a means that a spirit will use to gain a foothold in a home. A good question right now would be how these experiences are working with your atheist world view?

I haven't really thought too much about the religion aspect of it, last night I kind of cracked a couple jokes about it oh I guess you don't want to watch TV tonight. It was about 2 hours later that the TV turned on and channels started changing. I am trying to figure out if there is something relating to the 60's where the channels always stop if it has something to do w/ that. I can promise you without a doubt I am not going ghost hunting or calling this out any time soon it shows up on it's own and disappears on its own. We decided to unplugged the TV today and if when we got home this evening that if the TV was on we were out, they can have my deposit and whatever else they wanted. As for my son he is now staying with friends until he leaves for the Navy enough is enough for him.

Understandable. Once is enough in many occasions depending on what happens and to who it happens to.

The feeling these things can create cannot be described and may seem funny when they are told to others . But as it happens "funny " would be off the "Adjectives" list.

Indeed, if moving is something you are not interested in or it is making you uncomfortable in your home, we can talk about getting it removed. Some people learn to live with these things... it's really up to you how this ends.

HH I have often been wondering if my friend that I have called Harry boo ghost for a few years came w/ me and the new place had its own already. I know this may seem like a strange question or thought but it is something that I have thought about for a bit. Is this a possibility and I tried before I moved from the old place to use a piece of burning sage to get rid of harry, this didn't seem to work. I don't know if and what this is but , other than my electric bill and my sons worries I don't have a problem w/ my guest he doesn't seem to mess w/ me too much occasional goose bumps. My 16 year old daughter is coming over after work and I am going to talk to her and see if she has ever noticed any weird things that have happened that she can't explain w/ out elaborating too much

Have you tried unplugging the TV before bed? At least to save the electricity bill.

Well, it certainly is a possibility. Spirits can and do follow people around from house to house... and of course spirits can be there already when we move.

After talking w/ my daughter at the old residence, she noticed some odd things and some as she calls them creepy things. She once had the shower curtain open on her like someone was getting in and another time her bedroom door opened and then slammed shut. And she would always feel like someone was watching her in the family room downstairs, a feeling that my son and I also felt. This room was a wild place it never got warm in this room, it was cold all year long regardless of the outdoor temp. our pets stayed out of this room except the cat his litter box was down there. The bedroom next to hers had an attic access door that we could not keep closed, it was in the back of the closet. Other than that she never had any other interactions.

Well, it definitely sounds like you have been dealing with a haunting. You don't seem too bothered by it... but just to put it out there, there is something you can do about it. Ball is in your court really.

What can I do it makes my girlfriend uncomfortable, she won't sit in some rooms by herself, I have to get up in the middle of the night and turn on the light when she has to use the restroom. My son stays with friends because it has messed w/ him here and the old place. It never seems really to mess w/ me much at all just the people around me. My family and friends. The only time it seems to have ever messed with me is the night it held me down and shouted my name. My daughter the door and the shower incident, my son the scratches and holding him down and shouting, my girlfriend the TV turning on and off the channel surfing. It freaked my one friend out that she suggested that I do something before it decides what or acts out its true intentions, whatever that means. I feel like I've been dealing with it long enough that if it was going to do some form of evil acts like truly evil it would have happened by now. But I don't know this is something that until about a year ago I was pretty skeptical about thinking that I was imagining things

As far as lighting goes. You can get the ones with the sensors on them so the lights will turn on when she walks to it. That way you can get some sleep.
