We have two dogs. The older one that has been with us longer has only just recently started pooping (solid) in the hallway almost every night. We think this could be out of jealousy. We have had the other dog a year now, and this has only just become a problem. Please help.

Have you looked into any medical reasons this might be happenening?

You mention the poop is solid, is the other dogs different? Dogs metobolize food at different rates just like us, it could be that one dog metabolises the food much faster and so needs to poop a lot earlier while the other dog takes longer to digest and finds it needs to poop in the middle of the night.

You may want to try switching up your feeding schedule and feeding a little earlier in the day to see if there is an improvement, or changing the diet of the offending dog.

When, how often and how much do you feed the guys?
