    Sewer Gate/Check Valve
A check valve is a great way to hold back the raw sewage. A floating ball valve is OK if it doesn't get dirty with tp and not seal properly. Certainly , you cannot use any toilet or shower when the valve is closed but that's OK!! I will glady go somewhere else to hit the john and shower so I don't have RAW SEWAGE coming into my house like I did about 2 weeks ago!! I am going to have one installed.

    Hi Mcsap

Sorry to hear about the "raw sewage" 2 weeks ago... :(

Glad to her you will be installing a check valve! This is super cheap insurance for the future!

    Good luck!

Hi Mcsapl and welcome to The Plumbing Page on AMHD.
You piggybacked on a 2 year old dead thread so I gave you one of your own. Before you post look in the upper left hand corner for the date.. Thank you, Tom
