My cycle is different every month but for the past three months has averaged about 39 days. My last period began September 12 and ended September 18. If I was "intimate" on the 23rd of September, the 12th day of my cycle, is it possible I could be pregnant?

I am 35 year old and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year. I have been regular with my menstrual cycles. This month I am late but I have had the feelings like I should start. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came up (-). What should I do?

@ Bonnie- Yes you could possibly be pregnant. That possibility exists every time you have sex. There is nothing you can do but wait at least a week after your period was due and test.

@ Weather- Its confusing to ask a new question in an existing thread. Hopefully a moderator will be able to move this to its own thread. Taking a year to conceive is not unusual. You should test again in a week with first morning urine, and if you still have doubts or your period has not started, see a doctor.
