What is the best engine oil to use for high mileage car?
Can anyone tell me what's the best engine oil and filter to use on my 2 wheel dr 2004 Nissan Titan with 96,000 miles on it?

I personally use Valvoline High Mileage synthetic oil for my old Jeep 4X4 with 186K miles on it and have since 2006. You could go to an auto supply store and get something for a small engine. Valvoline now has oil filters for my car. The high mileage synthetic oils are the way to go.

I recommend full synthetic 5W-30 engine oil (e.g. Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, or Valvoline SynPower) and a premium synthethic media oil filter (e.g. Mobil 1 or Purolator PureOne). Change the oil and filter every 6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. 96,000 miles is not high mileage these days--that truck should easily go 300,000 miles, if it's properly maintained. Follow all of the recommended maintenance in your Owner's Manual, especially concerning the transmission and cooling system.
