    My children's father has not been in their life for 31/2 years
    My boys who are 7 and 6 have not seen their biolgical father in 31/2 years my husband and I want my husband to adopt my boys as he is the only one they know and he wants them to how can I do that?

    You hire an attorney to prepare and file a petition to adopt. Part of this petition will mean getting the bio father's agreement to the adoption.

    Even with his absence, without his agreement its unlikely the court will grant the adoption. However if his whereabouts are unknown, you will have to show that you made a good faith effort to contact him. Your attorney will detail what that means.
