The last picture shows 2 brackets and long screws. There should be 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. Adjust them so the screws have about 1/4" between the bracket end and the FP. Set the screen into the opening so the outside frame is flat against the FP front. Then, with the screen open, reach inside and tighten the screws so they start to contact the FP. Tighten well and have a warm winter!

I am not entirely sure this screen will work for you. Those silver clips in the last picture are designed to grab around the lintel and first row of brick, which you do not have. You may have to drill and tap so screws to hold this secure.

Don't they push against the side? In our old house, they mounted the screen just like the picture indicates, the screw through the bracket pushed against the side, not the lintel.

The bottom clips push againist the sides but the OPs last picture is of the top clips and they are made to grab the lintel. I'd just drill and tap the metal frame they have but who knows if that will mess up anything with heat transfer. The OPs fireplace is a metal prefab box.

I thought they were just loose uninstalled clips. Who knows, maybe the OP will tell us.
