Can you see a doctor? Even though you aren't sexually active, it's not a bad idea to start seeing a gynecologist. You'd be able to ask questions you aren't comfortable discussing with your mom, and it'll help make sure everything is healthy.

I'm going to take a guess and say you are somewhere in great Britain, based on your use of the word 'mum.' I don't know what the medical care is like there, but you should be able to talk to a doctor and have everything remain confidential.

Sexual contact (ie: touching or rubbing) is enough to spread some STD's. If you have been involved in any of these activities, you need to be screened for STD's. You also should have been seeing a gynecologist annually beginning with when you started your period. You probably don't need to involve your parents if you want to see a doctor or go to a clinic, but it is a good idea to get comfortable speaking to someone regarding your health.

Do you shave your vaginal area? It could be nothing more than ingrown hairs.
