Is a 6-inch section of bare copper ground wire (outside house) dangerous?
I know zero about electricity other than not to stick my tongue in a light socket. We just had some electrical work done on our house which included replacing the junction box/meter outside our house that suffered storm damage. The other day I noticed that there is about six inches of exposed stranded copper connecting a section of conduit (coming down from the j-box/meter to what I assume is a grounding rod buried in the soil. Do I need to ask the electrician to return to shield or bury that exposed wire? Or is it safe? Thanks!

The ground wire can be bare so you should be safe.
