About masturbation, there is some opposite schools of thought on this my brother. But in general most schools agree that it is indeed haraam. Here is a site that I found for you that may, masha'allah, explain it better than I can.

About pornography, I myself do not believe there is any opposing thoughts on this. It is absolutely Haraam.
