On my birth certificate under child's name it's blank. Does that mean I was adopted?

More likely it simply means your parents hadn't thought of an appropriate name for you when it came to register your birth.

What it likely means is that you don't have your OFFICIAL (filed with the government) birth certificate in your hands. Generally, once you are named a new birth certificate is issued.

No in fact is is an almost sure sign you were not, a person who is adopted has new birth certificates made, with their name, and the new adoptive parents.

So one with the child's name blank, means that
1. the state made a mistake and printed it blank
2. they had not chosen a name by the time they left the hospital
