How to file abandonment charges in Georgia?
What do I do when a case has been in establishment since 08? I the one seeking c/s have been dealing with local agencies, meeting any and all requirements they threaten me saying if I do not comply then they close the case, being that it is an intro or interstate case, meaning the father resides in ct and I am here in G. Jus the other day, the responding party should have been in court, he was a no show and they continued the case.. I am so fed up with working with state "help" agencies, I even asked what their position was if they were not doing what was best for the child... I am most certain direct legal consultation is next but with today's economy I can not afford that, am taking paralegal classes, may I do this myself?

You contact the DA of your county to file for non payment of court ordered child support. ** assuming you have a court order from family court for a order of support.

Also you can file in family court for contempt, and if he does not show, you make a motion for a ruling, not to be continued. Did his attorney show up to ask for it to be continued ? If not, did the judge just come up with this, did you not ask for a default ruling since he did not show up ?
