Need help identifying a lump above vagina.
So I have developed this lump at the top of my vagina, it was tender and as days went on, it became bigger and puss like as if it was a huge pimple.

Then it popped and a bunch of puss was oozing out if it. I'm wondering what could this be. I am not sexually active now, but was molested orally at a younger age. I'm wondering if I could have gotten herpes as I grew older.

    Please help me.

This is a common question on the site and many health-related sites on the internet. The first thought is STD or Cancer. We all go to the worst case scenario when our body does something abnormal, don't we? And, the internet doesn't help - it makes matters worse sometimes.

Most of the time, the answer to your question is a cyst or inflamed follicle. You can try using warm packs on the area, or sitz baths to see if you can get it reduced in size, however, to be completely safe, a trip to a licensed medical professional is always suggested.

Do you shave? If so, it could be nothing more than an infected ingrown hair.
