    Floating Floor Tilework
I am creating a basement steamroom/shower and intend to tile the entire room floor to ceiling. I realize I must have a floating wall in my area and intend to leave the gap at the top of the wall framing rather than the bottom. My question is - how do I create a gap on a tile wall that can compress if the floor rises? Is there some sort of gasket or sliding tile connection. If this can't be done, please tell me it can't be done! Thanks...

I had a very similar question this morning too.

I am wanting to do a tiled, walking shower in my basement. The floor will be a poured, tiled surface. No plastic tub.
Not sure how to do this with floating walls.
