Kenmore 95014 Range won't cool down after self-clean
I decided to run our Kenmore range through a self-cleaning cycle today, first time I've ever done that. The cycle started okay and the door lock engaged fine. After about 2 hours the display started flashing the error messages "E3-F3" and "E0-F3". I looked those up online and they both refer to the oven temp sensor. One means the self-clean cycle overtemped, the other just means the temp sensor is open.
That's all well and good, and I can replace it, but even after unplugging the oven for a while and turning it back on, the broiler element starts heating right away again and the door remains locked. The display at this point reads "PF cool", until I hit cancel when it reads "cln cool". It says it should be cooling, but that upper element just won't shut off. Is this indicative of a bigger problem, or is it because of that oven temp sensor? Also, is there a way to unlock the door so I can pull that sensor out? Thanks.
