Last year I started Birth control because of painful ovarian cyst that were putting me in the hospital regularly I stopped after four months because I was boardline suicidal and I had this horrible burning anger in my chest constantly. I started a different BC pill eight months later because I was sick of condoms breaking plus I had started lactating and I was having a period every two weeks I am now a month in on the other because pill I started and I feel like the burning anger is coming back I am getting anger at my fiancée when this should be a joyful time is there anything I can do to stop the anger? Plus I don't really feel good about myself anymore I think that has something to do with the pill as well any advice other than get off the pill?

Is it possible you are experiencing problems from more than just the birth control pills? Does the prescribing doctor know of your difficulties and has evaluated your physical status?

Yes, I told them when I went off and why I needed to go back on so they gave me a different scrip I went from lessina to tri sprinta I'm wondering if I just don't react well to the hormones in the pill but at this point it's the most reliable form because the shots I hear aren't very effective and condoms break and nuva rings get messy I just don't no what to do

Yes I told them when I got off the last pill why I was taking myself off and they said it was my choice and since I wasn't on the pill because of being sexually active they didn't think anything of it and I went back to them when I started lactating and I was sent to a blood doctor thinking I had a brain tumor of some sort but I didn't they then thought that the sudden stop in hormones caused the lactation they said I should go back on the pill but I wasn't ready the lactating eventually slowed down and stopped, then I got the irregular periods and they asked if I was ready to go back on and try a lesser dose of estrogen and a different brand and here I am a month later I just wish there was something I could do about the anger they don't seem to address it much

Doesn't sound like anyone is addressing much of anything. Can you get another opinion, especially regarding the anger and self-esteem issues? Is it worth sitting down with a counselor for a few sessions? (although this may very well have a medical connection and is not just a psychological problem)

And while I jump all over condoms on here, they do not "break" very often if used properly and stored properly if you buy good brands.

They all have a defect rate, but the pill is not 100 percent effective either of course.

By often I meant 2 times in the last 9 months (not that often considering how often they are used with us) and we use trojan and I know the pill isn't completely effective but I am taking it like I should every day at the same time. And wondergirl, off the pill I have very high self esteem I love myself I'm not perfect but no one is and I'm also very happy emotionally off I have considered seeing someone but since I know its just the pill I'm not sure what good it would do

No, counseling won't help then. It sounds like there is a hormonal connection of some kind. I'm not a doctor or medical person, but we have an M.D. hanging around here somewhere, and J_9 is a nurse. I wonder if a blood test would give you some clues as to what is going on.The doctor who orders the test would have to be looking for specific things, but am not sure what they would be.
