    Marble shower pan drain
I am istalling a marble shower pan. Do I install the drain plumbing to the tub before I set the pan in place, or do I wait until I have it set in and then install the drain as I hook into the drain lines?

As a rule you set the base where you want it and mark the spot. You then run the drain and trap raiser dead center on your mark. After you cut the raiser back so it doesn't protrude through the drain you prime and paint glue on the drain and trap raiser and set the base and drain over the trap raiser. Although I've never set a shower base and plumbed to it I guess you could install it that way if you wished and had enough room to work underneath the shower base.
    Good luck, Tom
