    Mucus plug?
OK I'm a bit embarrassed about this question :o currently 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant.

This morning I used a small vibrator, I did not insert it. Then about 15 minutes ago I suddenly felt wet after using the toilet and discovered very clear mucus, no blood, but there was enough of it. Now I'm not sure if it was from using the vibrator earlier on or if it was my mucus plug :o I heard the mucus plug does not always have to have blood in it. Is there a way of telling if I lost it or not?

Go see your OBGYN doctor to determine if this plug is lost or not. Hard to determine unless a physical exam is done.

As a practitioner I can't tell you whether you lost your mucous plug. This is not something we, as experts, look for. The reason being? You can go for WEEKS after you lose your mucous plug before going into labor.

I get more concerned about the watery discharge. If it continues after you changes your pants and panties you need to be seen to see if your membranes have ruptured.

Sorry J had to spread the rep. yes I understand what you mean as it may be my waters leaking. I'm OK now though, I have a house to hopefully sign a lease on today so I was panicking that I'd go into labour :p I think I'm safe for now, the baby can come anytime after 3pm today lol

If your waters are leaking you need to seek medical attention at once. We have to deliver baby within 24 hours of rupture of membranes.
