My dog has always been a faithful eater, and now it seems that his appetite has slowed down. Just recently, he has been having green mucas around his eyes, and I don't know what to do. What is this green mucas, and why is it there?

It is probably an eye infection. Caused either by a virus or bacteria.Consult your vet for diagnosis and treatment to make sure it doesn't get worse which could lead to loss of the eye. Some breeds are more prone to tear staining, which could lead to infection.
The reduced appetite on top of the eye problem suggests he may be down with something. How old is he? Late in their first year, dog' nutritional needs drop. Also older dogs slow down and need less. Failure to cut back on chow leads to overweight. If he isn't doing better by Monday, better see the vet.
