Do polycystic ovaries cause weight gain?
Do all women who have polycystic ovaries get fat? I'm scared.

No, they won't all get fat. But one of the side effects of PCOS is insulin resistance, which means it's easier for them to gain weight than it would be for most other people.

One of the best ways for a woman with PCOS to avoid gaining excess weight is to follow a diet that's low in carbs. Avoiding sugar, bread, potatoes and other simple carbs will go a long way towards helping her maintain her weight.
