My husband has a violent felony and I have past drug felonies. We have both turned our lives around and become productive members of society and we want more then anything to have baby's but I really don't think I am able. And up until I decided to start looking into it I had though adoption was totally out

It is possible. A lot of factors go into the final answer.

The state you live in. Can the felonies be reduced or removed. How long ago were they. How old were you when the felonies occurred. What the state's adoption agency uncovers in their review of your individual cases.

No site can give you a definitive answer. The best bet is to see an attorney specializing in adoption in your state. Even if you cannot afford to put the attorney on retainer, most will offer a free, genearl assessment in a short initial meeting.

A lot will depend on who you want to adopt. If you are looking to adopt an infant, then you will find it harder. If you are looking to adopt and older child, then you may have a better chance.
