I last had my phone on the 27th August and I don't know were lost it

I take it you tried calling it, and reporting it lost to your carrier and letting them know and calls made are being made by the Finder. They should be able to help.
In real life I don't see them actually doing that, or the finder just never uses the phone. I have never seen them find a lost one yet like that, doesn't mean it hasn't or can't happen.
For laptops, I know of Z Trace Gold that will track your laptop, and seems they should also be able to do phones, for a price.

Do you have a GPS and/or a tracking application and function on the phone ?

And as noted call your carrier who will turn the service to that phone off.
