    Maths topic - bearing?
    A traveller moves from pont p and walks 2.85km to q on a bearing of 078 degrees. He then walks due south to a point are which is 3.07km from p.
    A, calculate distance are from q
    B, what is the bearing pf p from are

    1. First determine the angle between lines pq and qr - you can do this because you know the bearing of both the pq line and the pr line.

    2. You can then use the law of sines to calculate the angle between the pq line and the qr line. From this you have the answer to B.

    3. Finally use the law of cosines to find the length of qr.
