I tried researching it myself, but I got conflicting answers and now I'm even more worried so I figured I should ask someone who knows.
My daughter is 7, and recently started reading her books REALLY REALLY up close, and had me worried, so we went to see the eye doctor.
The good news is, though she does have a very slight astigmatism, and MAYBE a vision of -0.25 IF even that, the doctor does not feel its is a problem, and feels the close up reading is just how she likes to read because she did perfect on the reading part of the test. Doctor says she may need glasses in the future, but not right now. My daughter probably doesn't even notice it lol.
Unfortunately now I am worried, because the dilation has not gone away. Her appointment was at 8 this morning. It is now 4pm :( my eyes never stay dilated longer than a few hours. But then I figured maybe its because her eyes are darker. But then I googled, and found out darker eyes can actually UN-dilate quicker than lighter eyes.
Should I be concerned that it is taking so long for her eyes to come off the dilation drops?
