I awoke last night throwing up and then my nose started to bleed, as I was washing up I noticed my lips looked a little blue any ideas? I feel fine now.

Sounds like a severe case of acid reflux. You really should have a doctor check you out... it can be dangerous if left to continue unabated.

A nose bleed could have triggered the event... or the stomach acid may have caused the nosebleed.

I find the bluish discoloration, called cyanosis, more troubling.

Smoothy is right that the cause or effect of nose bleed and vomiting could go either way. Cyanosis however is caused by oxygen deficiency. Usually observable in the fingernails as well.

Would definitely recommend a checkup.
