I went to hospital aug. 25 and had catheter placed in... it was removed aug 26. Aug 28 I was really sick and admitted to hospital. Aug. 30 they placed a catheter in and removed it September 1. September 2 I was discharged and sent home

Now though, every time I go to the bathroom, it is irritated is this normal and how long will it take to heal

Pianoman, ordinarily there is no irritation from this, but frequently urinary tract infections can happen if bacteria are introduced to your tract. I would go to yuuir doctor and ask to have a urine test to check for urinary tract infection. If so, he will simply give you a series of antbiotics to clear it up.

We are not to diagnose here on AMHD but I couldn't not put my two cents in thinking it could be as simple as this. Please visit your doctor.
