My hair is highlighted but my roots are greying can I bleach my roots

Won't do you any good as your hair is highlightged. Once you do the highlight thing you must keep after it only by doing highlights.

Right now if you have dark hair and dark roots with gray, you would have to totally redye your hair the dark color and then proceed to do the highlights thing again.
