Hanging out in a new group
I have friends but they rarely go out... like once every 2 weeks and I am really pissed off staying inside all day long. Now there is this guy who told me to start hanging with his group(I only saw him 2 times face to face). He seems all right but I am shy and I am worrying what the other members of the group may think of me... as you know if I go out with them for the first time I will imagine myself like the black sheep. I am confused :( what should I do? Try to go out with them and see how it goes, or stay this way?

Why not try and hang out with them and see how it goes.

I say try it, why not? In addition also try activities (not parties, or hanging out) you can do by yourself. You are only among strangers till you get to know them.

Why do you need to be with a group to go out and enjoy yourself? Take a class, go hiking, eat somewhere new. Not only will you get to know new people, you will get to know yourself and enjoy your own company. Knowing who you are and being happy with it exudes confidence, and confident happy people are the kids that others want to be around.
