    Am I pregnant?
Hi I am 24 years old, I started my last period on 9th August and I had sex with my fiancˇ with no protection on 18th August. I am now currently 7 days late, sore nipples, had 1 wave of nausea a couple of days ago, really bad cramps today, no spotting, no period, last pregnancy test done 2 days ago and was negative. What are the chances that I might be pregnant? Also about 4 weeks ago I started weight watchers diet, I have lost weight gradually but no more exercise than usual. Thanks so much in advance.

Diet changes, stress, hormonal changes, certain std's. There are so many different things that can effect your period.

Could you be pregnant always possible. Could it be other things as well. Yes could be.

Only way to know for sure what is going on is to make a visit to a medical doctor.

Hi thank you for responding so quickly. If I didn't have any symptoms except a missed period then I would just assume that it had skipped because of starting the diet, it's just that with the symptoms I am having I am feeling very confused. I know I should go to the doctors to get a blood test done, I am petrified of needles lol. Well if there is any update I will post it.

Hi Jesushelper 76, I just thought I would give you an update. This morning I was checking over my past hpt and I noticed on one of them there was a very faint second line. It is so faint it would be easy to miss but it is definantly there. Then about an hour after I went to the bathroom with cramps and feeling like I needed to do a number 2 and realised that my af had arrived, well it was heavy but then every time I went after, the next 3 hours, it was very light so I am not 100% sure what is going on. Thanks for being there.

Remember that you can only read an accurate result from an HPT approximately 10 minutes after you use it. Any longer than that and you will get a false result. So that was what is called an evaporation line and is considered to be a false positive.
