My headlights on my Van are real foggy and hazy. How can I clean them with items around the house I heard you can use toothpaste? Any suggestion?

Bon Ami, then polishing compound and then toothpaste. I'd just get some rubbing compound and polishing compound at Auto Zone or other store.

The trick is not only to get them ultra clean, but then seal the lens to prevent them from getting so bad in the first place.
There are many products on the market that can address exactly what you've described but you can clean the lens with most any polisher/cleaner then look at various plastic protectants/sealers to find one that will work on your vehicle. Read labels and product reviews as some work better than other while some work faster. It's up to you and some elbow grease.
