Here is a slanderous, harassment email sent to a friend of mine at her work ( she has a very responsible job) This was sent from my soon to be EX. 17 months separated.

Hi there,
Just thought you might like to know that (here real name with held) is sleeping with my
Husband (not divorced yet) who molested my 8 year old and physically
Abused my other children. There is currently an open criminal case
Against him with the north county DA based on videorecorded forensic
Interviews conducted over a month period at the chadwick center at
Children's hospital. I submitted photographs to the judge of how he
Beat one of the children black and blue. (would you like a copy of the
Photograph?) He is so mentally ill that he denys everything. He hasn't
Sent any support for 2 months, and we are penniless and living out of
The 2nd harvest food bank, while he posts on Facebook about eating out.
He is a pathological liar. It kind of shows you her judge of
Character and her where her moral values are, doesn't it?

Is anything in that e-mail a lie? Did you get financially damaged in anyway because of that e-mail? Was it sent to others?

You might use it to get a restraining order, but unless there are outright lies that caused you financial damage there is no slander case.

And how did you get ahold of a copy of this email?
